It is my understanding from a well informed source (the father in law) that the St Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah is the largest, by participants, parade in the country. I can now share with you that i have absolutely no doubt about this as we joined the crowds at about 10:30, took multiple video (see my Facebook page), went to lunch at 1:30 and it was still going at 3 p.m. We had left and I can’t tell you exactly when it ended. Definitely over 5 hours of bands, floats and yes, even lawyers advertising their services! We enjoyed a great day in downtown Savannah. Parking here is horrible so we parked at a Walmart outside the city and took a bus in. Bus fare was free for the day and we took an Uber home after dinner at Vic’s on The River. Wonderful day spent with family and another bucket list item crossed off!
