As part of our tour “package” here in Charleston, we decided to visit the Magnolia Plantation today. We got an educational tour of the slavery trade and the plantations involvement, then took a tour of the mansion and the grounds afterwards. We FINALLY got to see a real live alligator, albeit a figure out in the middle of a swamp on a ramp of some kind. Could have been a decoy for all I know but I wasn’t about to get out of the trolley to go find out. We’ll call it an alligator for counting purposes. Got to see many critters in their enclosures and generally enjoyed the day. Tomorrow is a travel day to Fy Pierce FL.
