Wow. We had heard that the Japanese Tea Gardens were a must see if in San Antonio, but mere words cannot describe the beauty, design and atmosphere created here. Ray Lambert, Commissioner of the Parks Dept in 1916 took over the former limestone and concrete quarry and with his vision created something that today is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Registered Historic Texas Landmark. Stacy got to feed AND PET the Koi fish in the ponds. And the best part of it all? IT IS FREE!!!No admission charge. They even have a guy going around with the fish food. you don’t buy it. If you ever find yourself in San Antonio, we highly recommend that you stop in. You won’t regret it. Enjoy the pics!
