More of USS Lexington
Tuesday, 01-13-26 we have spent quietly resting. Stacy doing laundry and reading, me researching real estate in the “Hill Country” of Texas. It’s the first day since we left 12-15-25 that we have experienced rain. Just a little sprinkle on and off, nothing major and overcast skies, in the 60s. Stacy wants to check out

USS Lexington Museum
Today was spent at the USS Lexington Museum in Corpus Christie. We were there for about 5 1 /2 hours and could have spent longer but we closed the place at 5 p.m. If you ever go, go when they open at 9 a.m. and you’ll have plenty of time. I won’t bore you with

Goose Island!
Today’s adventures took us to an Ace Hardware for a sewer hose fitting that was needed in order to dump the tanks, where by the way, I thought that the customer service was exceptional. I was greeted by a guy who asked what I was looking for and when I said to just point me

Saturday 01-10-26

South Padre Island Last Day!
The AC continued to run throughout the night meaning that it was over 72 degrees. We awoke to stronger winds than the past few days as well. One dolphin was spotted some distance off, maybe, could have been a swell. Definitely spotted a turtle poking its head out of the water. Then made a trip

South Padre Island Day 2
I suppose that if I had to, I could live here in the winter. Sunshine in the high 70s every day with a light breeze. That was just a little tongue in cheek if you didn’t pick up on it. I am amazed that this place is not more crowded. The KOA campground that we

More Dolphins!
So far today the dolphins have been putting on a show for us it would seem. They tell us that the dolphins usually visit once a day. So far today we have seen them three times! One even jumped and broke water for us. The pelicans follow. I think that the dolphins drive the fish
