Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community
We spent a Saturday afternoon travelling throughout this district that includes 74 artists and craftsmen of all sorts and hit the mother lode. We are not just souvenir collectors of cheaply made foreign junk, but appreciate quality items made by local folks that have a story behind them. The first score was quite a surprise.

Pigeon Forge Nightlife

A Day At The Ford Dealership
So, we shared that we visited The Biltmore which is in Ashville, NC about 2 hours from our campground on Wednesday. Well, on the way back from there the check engine light in our 2023 6.7 diesel Ford F250. All of the other gauges remained in the normal range and there were no strange noises

The Biltmore!
GPS said two hour ride and it was all of that. If there is a reason to disqualify TN from retirement destination it would be their roads. Either you are on a “dragon tail” loaded with hairpin turns and switchbacks, and I mean one right after the other, with NO shoulders to the road, or

Nashville!
We have arrived at our KOA campground in Lebanon, TN outside of Nashville and will spend the next five days here. Look forward to meeting up with an old friend who moved here a few years ago after retiring from Petcoksy Plumbing and Heating, although he continues to do remote work for them. Ray has

Peabody Hotel & Beale St.
We did both of these venues today so I will include them in the same blog. We started out at the Peabody Hotel at 5 pm to see the ducks parade through the lobby to the elevator that takes them to the penthouse every day. We were there in plenty of time but the place

Graceland!
We chose the mid-range tour package that allowed us access to the mansion (1st floor and basement floors only; no public access is permitted to the 2nd floor), all of the museum areas of which there are several), and the airplanes, of which there are two. We arrived at 11:30, left around 6 and did
