Funny, or maybe more accurate, curious, how life has its twists and turns with the people in our circles. 30 years ago I was a bank branch manager in central upstate NY. I actually managed 2 branches and travelled between the 2. In one of those branches I was fortunate enough that the HR department thought it necessary to place a wet behind the ears barely out of high school kid in one of my offices as a teller/csr. Well, this kid showed spunk. Wanted to learn. So I taught. To the point where she was handling things the assistant couldn’t. When I was transferred to another branch that branch needed a head teller. I took her with me. We watched 9-11 together in the break room. As is the case with financial institutions, a buyout occurred, I was transferred again and we no longer worked together. We both eventually left the bank and lived our lives. Today, probably because of FB, I got to enjoy supper with Jen and her husband Trey, and we caught up and reminisced. They got to meet Stacy and found the source of my grounding. It was a great time and I hope that we will do it again! I hope that they find the time in their busy lives to visit us in NY someday. No pics to share sadly because, simply, I didn’t think to do it. Jen, if you read this, know that I am proud of you and the mom and wife that you have become.
Reunion!
