The AC continued to run throughout the night meaning that it was over 72 degrees. We awoke to stronger winds than the past few days as well. One dolphin was spotted some distance off, maybe, could have been a swell. Definitely spotted a turtle poking its head out of the water. Then made a trip to Brownsville on the mainland for Stacy to shop for “proper beach attire” and for me to fill with diesel fuel instead of paying island prices. I was informed that a “sun dress” was required as she had not packed any. Being of the male gender and not fully understanding proper attire etiquette, I have to wonder if there are such things as a “sun dress” does it follow that there are rain dresses? Cloudy dresses? Partly sunny/cloudy dresses? Never mind, I’ll just put fuel in the truck and be happy. She found whatever it was she was looking for after a couple of stops and we returned to the island to take the dogs to the beach one last time. Stacy found one closer to us and closer to the road as well. Fewer steps for these hips and legs is a good thing. Rosie got to chase her ball even into the surf. The local constable drove by reminding us that if they were in the water no leash was ok, but if on the beach a leash was required. How do you tell the dog to stay in the water at all times? OK, Mr. Law Enforcement, we will do our best. Then it was back to the camper for steak on the grill, mashed taters and broccoli. A night time campfire with the pups completes the day! Tomorrow; Corpus Christie! Oops! Almost forgot! We visited the island’s Sandcastle Village upon our return from Brownsville. Enjoy the pics!
