We started out having brunch at daughter Kara’s restaurant, Lupe Tortilla, where she is the GM. They make an Eggs Benedict Mexican style with a corn tortilla instead of an english muffin, and use crab instead of ham or canadian bacon. That along with a bloody mary started out the day right! From there we visited the Fort Worth Water Gardens which were very interesting in the history and design aspects. A beautiful park you wouldn’t expect in a downtown setting. Then it was off to the Stockyards! It was mobbed on the Sunday after Christmas but everyone was polite and respectful, We got to experience a real live cattle drive of longhorn steers down Main St.! So close we could have reached out and touched them. Huge animals, 1500-2500 pounds with horns that can span up to 10 feet or more. Hope that you enjoy the pics to follow. Tonight we have the pleasure of hosting Olivia (Trouble with a capital T) overnight again. We’ll see what kind of shennanigans she comes up with this time…
