We arrived at our KOA in Arlington, TX late Friday afternoon after stopping to visit another Buc-ee’s. Had to replenish our snack supply! Another really nice feature is they have the DEF fluid for the diesel truck at the pumps right alongside the fuel. You only buy what you need and the price is significantly cheaper than buying in in the jugs! I took advantage of it and filled an empty jug that I hadn’t discarded yet. The campground is nice and we have an end spot so people only on one side of us, not both. Stacy asked about the pool as it is 70 degrees and the hosts kind of smiled and said it was closed for the season. They are still using their lawnmowers here but the pools are closed. Go figure. They have a little fenced in dog park area the dogs can go off leash and Rosie can chase her ball. I inquired about where I could get our rig cleaned; both truck and camper were encrusted in salt. They provided a business card for a company that actually comes right to the site, fully equipped even bringing their own “ionized” water. They came yesterday and did an awesome job, even getting up on the roof, doing the undercarriages and even used tire shine on all the tires! The coolest part? One of the guys used to follow the NASCAR circuit doing this and has visited Watkins Glen so he knew where we’re from. Small world. The pups have adjusted well to life in the camper. There is plenty of room in the new one with the two slides opposite each other. We do have to get another dog bed though. Not enough room on the one for all three. Jack likes getting up on the furniture but Stacy doesn’t like that so somebody just gets a blanket to lay on. Got our satellite dish up and running yesterday so now we get 200+ channels. Haven’t actually watched much besides the news. Stacy got to spend yesterday with daughter Kara and granddaughter Olivia so she got her baby “fix”. She rented a car so she can come and go whenever without having to deal with the truck. Too big for her to feel comfortable driving. Her brother works for Enterprise and got her a Nissan Pathfinder. I have never been in one and we went to WalMart this morning. Very nice vehicle. Even has a forward camera that lets you know how close you are parking. Nice feature. That’s it for now.
